The Adventist Media Ministries and the ministries it serves require that all employees have active memberships in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. (See "Policies" under the "Employment" dropdown menu for more information.) First preference for all positions are given to those who have experience and/or educational training in the stated position. All positions are considered "open" until the position is officially filled. The Adventist Media Ministries does not have the ability to help people who wish to seek employment coming from other countries outside of the United States who do not already have permission to work and/or permanent resident status in the United States.

VOICE OF PROPHECY
JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

April 2016

DESCRIPTION: The Voice of Prophecy is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to work in the Planned Giving & Trust Services department. This person will assist with the accounting records—including all aspects of accounting (receivables, payables, general ledger) and federal and state fiduciary tax reporting. 

RESPONSIBILITY: The Junior Accountant will serve the Voice of Prophecy by conducting the following functions in a confidential manner: generating receipts and making bank deposits, monitoring annuity payments, assisting with annual reports/statements, communicating with trustors regarding trust activity, preparing interest distribution checks, monitoring investment accounts, corresponding with attorneys and vendors as needed, assisting with the required State of California Department of Insurance Gift Annuity filings and fees, and more (please see full description).

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of two years of college experience in any discipline that includes business-related courses from an accredited institution, plus two years of denominational employment. A member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with an understanding of and adherence to the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

SKILLS: Proficient computer skills, accurate attention to detail, flexibility to adapt to urgent projects or unusual situations, and verbal and written communication skills.

VOICE OF PROPHECY
MINISTRY RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE
March 2016

DESCRIPTION: The Voice of Prophecy is looking for a vibrant Ministry Relations Representative (Regional) to visit donors and prospects on a regular basis (every month) to share news and information about the ministry. The ideal candidate would promote the ministry through presentations in homes, churches and other gatherings. In addition, he or she would identify, cultivate, steward and solicit donors and prospects in a geographic region, developing long-term relationships, thus growing the support base.

RESPONSIBILITY: The Ministry Relations Representative (Regional) serves the Voice of Prophecy by cultivating and growing relationships with new and current supporters, and conveying the ministry’s impact, thus enabling the ministry to carry out its mission of sharing the Gospel with the world through media and public evangelism.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Three to five years in fundraising (preferred), marketing, public relations, communication or a related field. A member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with an understanding of and adherence to the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

SKILLS: Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build long-term relationships. Strong oral, written and presentation skills with an ability to speak persuasively and articulate the VOP mission and purpose. Self-starter with exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently while under pressure to meet goals and deadlines. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and/or Keynote. Ability to travel and work flexible, irregular hours; possesses a valid driver’s license.

Voice of Prophecy 
Associate Departmental Director for
Media, Production & Programing

DESCRIPTION: The Voice of Prophecy is looking for a passionate person who loves using media and technology to share the Good News. The ideal candidate should be proficient with audio, video and digital media production. This person should also be a strong manager who can design engaging radio shows, produce compelling TV, manage teams, run multiple large projects, and think about the future of media technology. The perfect candidate will also be organized, creative and enthusiastic about using technology to reach and interact with people.
 
RESPONSIBILITY: This position serves the Voice of Prophecy ministry by assisting the Director of Media, Production and Programming with media production and programming duties, thus enabling the ministry to carry out its mission of sharing the Gospel with the world through media and public evangelism. Duties include: managing projects assigned by Director of Media, Production and Programming; managing contracts with third-party services providers and partners (including, but not limited to: radio, TV and digital affiliates, syndication partners, TV networks and studios, contract labor, copyright needs, media department fixed assets and more). This person will maintain the schedule of all departmental projects and help create strategies to improve the department's efficiency and effectiveness.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of high school diploma and four years of college with an emphasis on digital, radio and television production. Preferred: three years as a creative media professional either with an agency or organization. Member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Understanding of and adherence to the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 
 
SKILLS: Ability to use the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Apple Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint. A self-starter who can exercise discretion and independent judgment, make decisions and assume responsibility. Good interpersonal communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to urgent projects or unusual situations. Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance. General working conditions of an office. Position requires some travel.

Voice of Prophecy 
Mailroom Assistant Supervisor I
January 2016
 DESCRIPTION: Are you someone who loves logistics and has an eye for detail and a knack for supervision? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the Voice of Prophecy's Mailroom Assistant Supervisor position! In this position, you would assist with the development, implementation, coordination and monitoring of all phases of mailing services, in addition to supervision of mailroom staff. This means that as a direct result of your work, people worldwide would receive resources like Bible lessons, and make decisions for Christ thanks in part to your efforts in getting it to them in a timely manner. 
 
RESPONSIBILITY: The Mailroom Assistant Supervisor I assists the Mailroom Supervisor with the development, implementation, coordination and monitoring of all phases of Mailing Services operations, including the supervision of personnel and assisting the Mailroom Supervisor to ensure that all mailing fulfillment requirements are up-to-date. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Five years of experience in a related field. Denominational experience preferred but not required. Member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Understanding of and adherence to the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 
 
SKILLS: Proficient with forklifts, pallet jacks, mailing scales and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Demonstrates ability to follow directions within scope of responsibility as defined by the job description. Flexible under deadline pressures. Has the ability to work on multiple projects effectively. Must have strong organizational skills. Can thrive under normal working conditions of an active warehouse and mailroom (noisy equipment, busy environment and periodic interruptions). Individual should be knowledgeable of the policies and procedures of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the U.S. Post Office.
