If there are any openings for positions in the Adventist Media Ministries or any of the ministries it serves, they may be posted immediately following this message.

The Adventist Media Ministries and the ministries it serves require that all employees have active memberships in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. (See "Policies" under the "Employment" dropdown menu for more information.) First preference for all positions are given to those who have experience and/or educational training in the stated position. All positions are considered "open" until the position is officially filled. The Adventist Media Ministries does not have the ability to help people who wish to seek employment coming from other countries outside of the United States who do not already have permission to work and/or permanent resident status in the United States.

Another suggestion is to fill it out, scan it, and send by email. MARKETING DIRECTOR 
IT IS WRITTEN 
CHATTANOOGA, TN
 
POSITION SUMMARY: Marketing Director
 
RESPONSIBILITY: The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for marketing the ministry (English and Spanish) within the Seventh-day Adventist church. They are also responsible for working with Public Relations, Publishing, Development, Planned Giving and Trust Services, and the Creative Departments within It Is Written and assisting them in creating synergy between projects in their various departments. Assists other departments at It Is Written as needed.

STATUS:  Full-time Regular (exempt)

QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience in similar work. Four-year degree in a related field preferred.  
 
SKILLS:  The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and work well with people. They must be able to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines. They must be accurate, organized and detail oriented. They work within a Mac environment, and know Microsoft Word and Excel programs. They will have the ability to learn new software related to their work needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to reach decisions and follow through within their scope of responsibility as defined by the job description. They will be flexible under deadline pressures.

Must be willing to live and work in the Chattanooga, TN. area. 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY: Administrative Assistant
 
RESPONSIBILITY: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Speaker/Director and General Manager of It Is Written. They are responsible for assisting with travel plans, schedules, email, phone calls and mail. Areas of responsibility include managing office calendars, coordinating worship schedules, creating agendas & minutes and monitoring the front door. Other office duties would include copying, greeting visitors, writing and editing abilities. Coordinating volunteer activity. Working with all departments of It Is Written as needed.

STATUS:  Full-time Regular (non-exempt)

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum five years’ experience in a similar position. Some college or university preferred. 
 
SKILLS:  The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and work well with people. Must be able to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Must be accurate, organized and detail oriented. Work within a Mac environment, and know Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Must have ability to learn new software related to work needs. Must be ability to make decisions (within the scope of their authority) and follow through within scope of responsibility as defined by the job description. Flexibility under deadline pressures and confidentiality are must.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Evangelism

This position is responsible for assisting with travel plans, schedules, mail, and phone calls. It also assists with Humanitarian Mission trips, Evangelism series and other off-site events. Other office skills needed include duties like copying, tours/greeting visitors, writing and editing. Works with all departments of It Is Written as needed.

STATUS:  Full-time Regular (non-exempt)

QUALIFICATIONS:  A minimum five years’ experience in similar position. Some college or university preferred. 
SKILLS:  A successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well with people. They will be able to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines. The must be accurate, organized and detail oriented. They will be able to work within a Mac environment, and know Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
