The Adventist Media Ministries and the ministries it serves require that all employees have active memberships in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. (See "Policies" under the "Employment" dropdown menu for more information.) First preference for all positions are given to those who have experience and/or educational training in the stated position. All positions are considered "open" until the position is officially filled. The Adventist Media Ministries does not have the ability to help people who wish to seek employment coming from other countries outside of the United States who do not already have permission to work and/or permanent resident status in the United States.

Departmental Assistant 
IT Department
February 15, 2017

POSITION SUMMARY:  This position is a Full Time (non-exempt) accountable to the IT Director. Performs full administrative assistant duties for the department. Serves as first level of technical support for the department.

  • Provide first level technical support and troubleshooting over the phone, in person or using our helpdesk system
  • Coordinate the helpdesk tasks
  • Be the main point of contact for email correspondence with vendors and ministries
  • Departmental scheduling
  • Manage bills and contracts for the department
  • Order software and hardware
  • Perform technical tasks such as installing new Mac and PC computer systems, installing new software.
  • Documentation of contracts, licensing, billing and technical support items.
  • Operate audio /video equipment in meeting rooms
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • A member of the Seventh-day Adventist church in regular and good standing
  • Must adhere to and be supportive of the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist church
  • Education: Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree preferred. Relevant coursework or work experience may be acceptable in lieu of academic requirement.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing similar functions
  • Computer and Technology competency (including, but not limited to OS X, Windows, MS Office, etc.)
  • Experience in working with non-profit organizations preferred
  • Strong writing skills

Payroll Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY:  This position is a Full Time (non-exempt) accountable to the Treasurer of Adventist Media Ministries Support Services, Riverside Office.

RESPONSIBILITY:  Applicant will be responsible for performing all activities necessary to process one or more payrolls, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management.  Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Two years prior payroll and/or accounting experience is preferred.

SKILLS: Must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well with people. Proficiency in keyboard skills.  Also strong analytical and problem solving skills.  Must be able to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines.  Must be accurate, organized and detail oriented. Work within a Microsoft Windows environment, and know Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Must have ability to learn new software related to work needs. Demonstrates ability to reach decisions and follows through within scope of responsibility as defined by the job description. Flexible under deadline pressures.

DESCRIPTION: Manages, troubleshoots and adds website content to the Voice of Prophecy’s websites and other online resources.
RESPONSIBILITY: The Digital Content Specialist/Webmaster will create and maintain websites that are consistent with the Voice of Prophecy’s online strategy and branding, recommend and implement sound SEO practices for all websites, continually monitor and test websites, assist with strategic planning for future web enhancements or new web requirements, provide technical assistance in troubleshooting, resolve technical issues for internal and external customers, work with multimedia content and streaming on any given CDN platform as it relates to digital delivery, and more.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree in Digital Media, Web Design or Graphic Design or a related field. Relevant work experience or relevant college courses may be acceptable in lieu of academic requirement. Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing similar functions. A member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with an understanding of and adherence to the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
SKILLS: Thorough understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, Microsoft Word and Excel, and the Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Acrobat and Photoshop.
NOTICE: The Voice of Prophecy is located in Loveland, CO, so the applicant must live in or move to the area if hired.
